Ever been in the situation where you need to find out the hardware serial number of an OEM PC? Maybe you’ve ended up in this predicament after a label has fallen off or become unreadable.
Well, there’s an easy solution to determine the serial number of your PC using command line.
Open a Command Prompt Window and type the following, “wmic bios get serialnumber”, and press enter.
This will return the serial number which is not only written physically on your motherboard but coded into the BIOS.
